New  NEWS:   The Crossmen Drum Corp will be in Andover KS performing Monday the 21st around 7 pm.  Place:  Andover Stadium aprox.2 miles north on Andover Rd.  This is a rehersal and is free !!!!!!!!!!!

 

Oklahoma update

The PAFI Winter guard came in first at the Oklahoma competition with a score of 66.6.

Congratulations to Piedmont  HS with a first place in Scholastic A.

The OSU drum line performed for exhibition and presentation of the awards.  It was a good Sat. and concluded with a trip to Eskomo Joe’s.

WGI Regional Update!!

The Pafi Winterguard performed at the WGI Regional at Hickman Mills HS in Kansas City last Sat. Our score was 64.1. Best this year!  See pictures at catchitkansas.com   Next Sat. we’ll be in Stillwater OK.

2008 Festival Results

Our Winterguard Festival on Sat. Feb. 2nd was a spectacular afternoon. All the groups performed well and there was even a special performance by 5 of the Dad’s.  Many doors prizes were given away and of course the finale; our spaghetti dinner.

November Auditions

Then the Performance Arts Foundation would like to invite you (students 13 to 21 years old) to audition for the PAFI Winter Guard.This highly entertaining and challenging group combines music with marching drill, dance, and equipment work into an artistic and energetic show typically performed on basketball floors in exhibition and competition. The PAFI guard is a current member of Winter Guard International (WGI), and competes in the Kansas, Missouri, and

Oklahoma circuits. 

            The Winter Guard season runs from November to April with competition beginning in February.  Rehearsals are mainly on Monday and Thursday nights and Saturdays.  Participation fees are required.This is a wonderful opportunity for student performers and future music and dance educators to gain valuable experience in music and movement.CLINIC andAUDITIONS WILL BE HELD:SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2007 from 1:00-5:00 at Rose Hill Multipurpose GymRose Hill Road & School Street (call or email for directions)                                                                                   Bring a Flag!  Bring a Friend!Parents/Guardians must attend the 1:00 info session!
